Blue Morpho - _TNY_6131

Many think that the "blue morpho" is just a single species of butterfly. In reality, there are like thirty different species which make up the blue morphos.

 

This one here is the banded blue morpho (Morpho achilles), also known as the Achilles blue morpho and as the blue-banded morpho - names that aren't very difficult to undeerstand where they came from.
