Green and Brown Love - _TNY_3181
A pair of Anthaxia similis jewel beetles getting busy on a wood anemone (Anemone nemorosa) near the southern tip of the Lanan bay, a part of lake Stensjön in Tyresta National Park.
Notice that there is a distinct difference in colouration between the male and the female - very handy for me trying to sex them! There are however actually several species which look very similar to this - but the white hairs on the face makes this A. similis for sure.
