Peeping Tom - _TNY_3183
A pair of Anthaxia similis jewel beetles getting busy on a wood anemone (Anemone nemorosa) near the southern tip of the Lanan bay, a part of lake Stensjön in Tyresta National Park.
They weren't the only ones there as evidenced by the third beetle, a male whomost likely wished it was him up there.
Notice that there is a distinct difference in colouratio between the male and the female - very handy! There are however actually several species which look very similar to this - but the white hairs on the face makes this A. similis for sure.
