Green-Legged Grape Guardian - _TNY_5722 (In Explore 21/8 2023)

Typically, growing grapes as far north as Härnösand, Sweden, isn't very common (it is about as far north as Anchorage, Alaska), but somehow, they seem to like to grow on the outside of my mother-in-law's greenhouse.

On one of the large leaves there, this juvenile raft spider (Dolomedes fimbriatus) had set up shop and was wainting for lunch to drop in.

The way you can tell this is a juvenile (not counting the size not being huge like the adults), is the colour of the legs. Juvies have green eyes while adults have them in the same brown as the body (and typically darker than this specimen).
