Stacking Blueberries, or Spinach? - _TNY_5318S16

Last Saturday was basically non-stop raining here. I still managed a couple of shots of various bugs taking shelter under the roof of the veranda.

This one was sitting on the wall at a nice height so I decided to go for a longer than usual focus stack. I ended up with 16 exposures and when stacking them in Zerene Stacker, it was probably the least troublesome stack ever for me absolutely minimal retouching required.

The specimen here has the intriguing English name of northern spinach (Eulithis populata). I see no obvious reason for the spinach part - neither in colour nor in host plants as this one likes bilberries and blueberries.

The raised abdomen comes from this being a female who has already mated and both signalling to males and also making a coupling impossible.
