This male beautiful demoiselle (Calopteryx virgo) really seemed to enjoy the soft moss covering a tree trunk leaning out over the Stensjöbäcken creek which connects the Lanan lake down to the Nedre Dammen pond at Åva-Stensjödal in Tyresta National Park.
They were shy this day, so the added reach of the Sigma 180mm f/3.5 APO EX DG HSM Macro lens coupled with the Sigma EX 2x teleconverter (for a total focal lenght of 360 mm) came in handy. With the 2x extender added, I lose autofocus, but it isn't a real issue with the subjects I shoot.
