Cute Bee - _TNY_3221
While walking across the part of Tyresta National Park which was hit by a large forest fire back in 1999, my wife spotted this cute bee crawling on some moss for me. It is a female orange-legged furrow bee (Halictus rubicundus female).
There is a very similar species, the end-banded furrow bee (H. eurygnathus), also known as the downland furrow bee, but this is 100% rubicundus as seen by the orange hind legs (which are black on eurygnathus).
