Almost Camouflaged, Pt. 4 - _TNY_5571 (In Explore 31/5 2023)

The female goldenrod crab spider (Misumena vatia), also known as the flower crab spider, can over the course of a couple of days shift colour from white like here to a deep mango yellow. I found this one on an ox-eye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) all ready to close those outstretched legs into a deadly embrace.
