Black, Yellow and Wet - _TNY_1620

The eastern black swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes) is a fairly common butterfly in North America, but it isn't particulary so at the Haga Ocean Butterfly House in Solna, Sweden, so it is always nice to get a good shot of it.

This one had managed to get its wings wet so there are still some small droplets of water on its back if you zoom in.

For a shot of the (in my opinion even prettier) underside of the wings of this species, please have a look here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52006477133/
