Purple Slope - _TNY_8042
This little guy (~2-3 mm / .1") is a meadow cranesbill weevil (Zacladus geranii) shot at 3.7:1 magnification on a petal of a wood cranesbill (Geranium sylvaticum).
If you ask me (during summer) if I could find you a weevil - this is what I most likely end up with when I "need" to find one. The wood cranesbill is a common plant here and just looking at each flower, there is a quite large chance of seeing one of these tiny little guys in there.
Another shot of the same weevil here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52132332175/
