Too Large! - _TNY_3061PS4
This is a bit of an odd one. Not the moth itself which is called the Engrailed (Ectropis crepuscularia) - but the photo.
You see, I found this one on the side of the house when getting home at 03:18 in the morning and went in for the camera and came out with it and the MP-E65mm lens. Now that one can't focus at less than 1:1 magnification - and the moth is larger than will fit on my (fullframe 36x24mm) sensor.
I didn't feel like going back inside, locate a different lens for fear of waking up the family so the solution became to take several photos of it and then join them into one manually in Photoshop. Basically, this is a panorama shot of a moth.
As a bonus, this also resulted in increased resolution so this is a 58.8 megapixel shot and offers some really nice detail on the scales on the body of it if you zoom in properly.
