Target Species - _TNY_3004

Here is a small sallow mining-bee (Andrena praecox) foraging - on a sallow (Salix caprea).

 

The sallow in one of the earliest species in Sweden to offer a dependable food-supply for pollinating insects and this one was found on the flower next to the one with this very small but colourful beetle: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52886751823/ at Åva-Stensjödal in Tyresta National Park, Sweden.
