A Name That Makes Sense, Pt. 3 - _TNY_6218
I posted a close-up portrait of a teneral red-eyed damselfly (Erythromma najas) which was pretty much all green and the name seemed like a poor fit.
Well, here's an adult male and I'm sure you can see where it got that name now.
I shot this at the side of a very small beach by a small lake called Öjesjön where we went to cool off during the very warm June vacation of 2020. I brought a pair of those rubber water shoes which enabled me to walk around among the reeds and water lilies without hurting my feet - and potentially dropping my camera rig in the water.
