Tiny Test Subject, Pt. 2 - _TNY_8511

Back in spring of 2019, I got myself a Godox TT685C flash and began messing around with designing a diffuser for it.

So when it was (almost) completed I got outside to find a suitable invertebrate to do some test shots on.

Unfortunately, this was at 17:30 on a somewhat cold day which in mid-May means not many critters are active (at least not with the crappy weather we've been having lately).

I did however see a very small black spider on the side of the house and got really close and discovered this male Attulus pubescens (previously Sittipub pubescens) jumping spider which I actually find quite lovely.

A. pubescens is a rather small species, so this was taken at 3.3:1 magnification and I think the diffuser was performing nicely. Obviously, I've kept messing with it and am currently at version 7 of it.

Part 1 here, is taken at 3.7:1 magnification: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/33982210588/
