Blue Planet Earth Bumblebee - - _TNY_4504

Some sort of earth bumblebee (Bombus lucorum coll.) on top of one of the blue globe-thistles (Echinops bannaticus) in my mother-in-law's garden outside Härnösand, Sweden.

 

These seem like a very good plant to have in your garden. Not only are they pretty and grow well, but they're also *really* popular with a whole bunch of bugs.
