Here's a new acquaintance for me. First shot of a male common mormon (Papilio polytes)!
I think it is a really attractive species with the way the design team sprinkled gold dust over the matte black wings like that.
This is of course another shot from the Haga Ocean butterfly house and I really like how the species of butterflies they have flying around vary over time. I made over twenty visits there in 2022 and this was on one of thelast ones - and yet I come across new species.
