A Soft World - _TNY_3173
Here is a female European wool carder bee (Anthidium manicatum) on the super soft leaves on a lamb's ears (Stachys byzantina) at my mother-in-law's place.
The female bees use plant hairs to line their nests so this flower is a true favourite with them.
Speaking of favourites, this bee is one of my absolute favourite bugs - both with looks as well as with interesting behaviour.
I have an entire album with (at the time of posting) 60 photos of them here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/albums/72157667862870066
