When Your Outfit is Outdone, Pt. 5 - _TNY_9676
This female patchwork leafcutter bee (Megachile centuncularis) actually looks really nice with her orange skirt.
When landing on the flower of a woolly burdock (Arctium tomentosum) however, it is pretty effectively eclipsed by the colour explosion of the flower which, somehow, manages to not be perceived in that way from normal viewing distances.

Part 2 is not the exact same bee, but the same species on the same flower taken three day earlier in the same place: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/50953053408/
Part 3 is the first bee again here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51079386492/
Part 4 is the closest: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51796094607/
