First of the Year, Pt. 2 - _TNY_9283
I was eyeing the not yet opened flowers on the house leek (Sempervivum tectorum) back in early July because I knew that as soon as the first flowers open up into those pretty stars, the European wool carder bees (Anthidium manicatum) will be there.
And then it was finally time and the first, a female, appeared and allowed me surprisingly close contact which was fortunate as I had the MP-E65mm on the camera.
