Lemon and Thyme - _TNY_3709

The brimstone butterfly (Gonepteryx rhamni) is in many other languages known as the lemon butterfly or something similar. In German it's a "Zitronenfalter", in Swedish it's a "citronfjäril", in Dutch it's a "citroenvlinder" "le citron" in French, "la limonera" in Spanish, citromlepke in Hungarian and so on.

This one which is drinking from a flower on the runaway thyme in my wife's garden is a female as the males have a distinctly more yellow colour.
