Faking Shots - _TNY_5995
Sometimes you miss a little when you frame shots. And sometimes you miss so much that an interesting part gets lost - even though there was space in the shot for it.
Like this shot of a female Asian swallowtail (Papilio lowii suffusus), also known as the great yellow mormon, from the Haga Ocean butterfly house in Solna, Sweden.
Here I had shot it too low in frame so that there was empty brown space up top and the tail on the left wing was cut off.
Thankfully, Photoshop allows the fixing of such things so I added in some background at the bottom, cut out the right tail and flipped it and blended in as the right one.
Is this fake? Yes it is, but I didn't add anything in that wasn't there and since I'm being open about it I consider it alright. People cutting out a couple of ladybirds and stick 'em on a flower and try to pass it off as an actual scene are awful though.
