Hazel Muncher, Pt. 2 - _TNY_8119

This charming little fellow which I found in the garden is a nut-leaf weevil (Strophosoma melanogrammum).

 

As the name indicates, these guys are probably interested in munching on my son's corkscrew hazel in our garden.

 

Looking at this one, I can't shake the idea that someone dipped it in sesame seeds!
