Glowing Hopper - _TNY_8898S2
Some animals I come across truly don't look like they could be found in central Sweden. This leafhopper nymph which I think is an Idiocerus stigmaticalis would seem more at home in a rainforest than on a Linden tree outside Härnösand. that abdomen makes me think of a flaming furnace or something!
Like so many hoppers, this one was quite camera shy and kept moving to the far side of the stems to avoid having its photo taken, but I got there in the end.
This is sort of a maual photo stack. There was too much discrepancy between the shots that the stacking program said "No thanks", so I blended them by by hand in Photoshop instead and eneded up with more in focus than on a single shot.
