Orange on the Pink - _TNY_9460
This beautiful female marmelade hoverfly (Episyrphus balteatus) landed perfectly on a Carthusian pink (Dianthus carthusianorum) at my mom's summer house - right in front of me.

The striping on the abdomen of this species can vary a bit, but I think like this one with lighter coloured bands look the best.
