Junior Eye Stripe, Pt. 2 - _TNY_8695S4
Coming into fall, the bug life dies down significantly up here. Recently I've discovered the joy of leafhoppers though. You have to get in real close to see them, but they make for very nice subjects and there is great variation in how they look.
This species is a somewhat recent immigrant to Sweden, a Fieberiella septentrionalis on the window sill outside my neighbour's house. Notice that this one hasn't got any wings. That is because it is just a nymph and won't get wings until it has changed into the adult form.
For this one, I managed a four-exposure focus stack (compiled into a single image using Zerene Stacker), but I have a shot of another nymph which was right next to this one - a bit different in colour though: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/50610657826/
An adult specimen was there as well and managed to get photographed here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/50551498081/
