Pinkeye - _TNY_8368

This male common bluetail (Ischnura elegans) which was chilling just ten centimeters or so away from the waterline.

 

If you look at the eyes, you'll notice a somewhat unusual colour. These normaly have darker eyes, but I'm thinking this is a teneral one, ie having just left the water and larval stage and is still forming the adult colours.
