The Compound Eye, Pt. 2 - _TNY_4718

The black-spotted longhorn beetle (Rhagium mordax) finds recently died oaks, aspen, ash, birch and a couple of more species and lay their eggs in them and the larvae live underneath the bark.

This particular one appeared quite cool with me taking close-ups of it in the Gullringskärret nature reserve.
