The Tiny Pain Train - _TNY_5367
This very fuzzy moth caterpillar which sort of reminds me of a little bullet train when completely straight like this, is a fox moth (Macrothylacia rubi).
The hair on it looks incredibly soft and fuzzy, but within all that softness are hairs connected to venom glands and if the caterpillar is feeling threatened - like from someone picking it up a little uncarefully - the venom can cause pain and irritation which apparently can linger for many weeks.
