A Different Seven Eyes - _TNY_0904
The Haga Ocean butterfly house regularily have two morpho species "in stock": This one which is the Peleides blue morpho (Morpho peleides), but also the blue-banded morpho (M. achilles).
Looking at dorsal side of the wing, it is very obvious which is which as this one has the wings almost completely coverd in a metallic blue while the other one has two metallic blue bands on black - but when you can only see this ventral side, they become much more similar.
The thing to look for is the white band along the trailing edge of the front (here: upper) wings. M. peleides (this one) has a wider band while m. achilles has a narrower one.Compare it with this achilles: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52138677539/
