Antennae Cleaning Time - _TNY_6014

A not particularily close shot of a female of one of the ruby-tailed wasp in the Chrysis ignita complex.

 

This is how you normally shoot these guys - they are not very fond of sitting still and appear to be constantly on the move. Keeping the antennae clean also appears very important. Many of the ones I've found have, just like this one, been in the process of cleaning them.
