Unusual Robber - _TNY_0703
Cyrtopogon lateralis is a species of robber fly which I have only seen once before.
This one had caught a leaf hopper or something similar which must have been very tasty because it kept coming back to the same rock with it to have lunch.
I closed in and tried to get a good shot (some successfully) and it took off, only to loop back and land on the same rock again and then we kept repeating that over and over again.
Here it has let go of the prey - but it still came back to pose for another shot!
