Bright Yellow - _TNY_0722

Some names just roll off the tounge. The nettle-leaved mullein (Verbascum chaixii) isn't one of them.

What it is however, is a very pretty flower with a tower of these yellow flowers rising from a rosette of leaves. Also, don't forget to zoom in on the center of one of the flowers - those purple parts look quite cool tbh.

My mother-in-law have these in her garden (along with a white variety) and they attract quite a lot of bugs. Not 20 meters away from these I found a Cionus hortulanus weevil, a species which has this as its host plant. A two-exposure focus stack of that one here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52209367346/
