Extra Close - _TNY_8320

Still learning how to shoot using the Laowa wide angle macro. I haven't made a designated diffuser for it just yet so I'm still using the regular one, but the main thing is how close you have to get. For 1:1 magnification, the subject has to be just 4 mm in front of the front glass.

This female goldenrod crab spider (Misumena vatia) was not that close, but the front glass is actually still pushing the white petals in the bottom of the shot downwards here so it isn't much further away than that!

This is taken in front of my neighbour's house and I am loving how you can see the white bricks of the house and a window even though it is a macro shot - definitely a good purchase!
