Reed Beetle on Reed - _TNY_7938

Another discovery from when trying out the waders at the Nedre dammen pond in Tyresta. This metallic fellow is a Donacia vulgaris reed beetle.

 

I saw this one and a bunch more of it's mates hanging out on the reeds out in the water so hopefully there will be a couple of more shots coming at a later date.
