Old Light Through New Windows - TNY_20220407_155154
A phone shot (Poco F3 using the Google Pixel camera app) of the Chinese oak tussar moth (Antheraea pernyi) I met at the Haga Ocean butterfly house in early April (of 2022).
It sat high up like this, out of reach of a macro close-up, but a very helpful employee offered to attempt to see if he could relocate it to a lower branch for me which workd out great resulting in this shot: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52036445359/
Before he tried this I wasnted to at least get a shot of it if it decided to fly off - but the shot turned out really neat with the sunlight not only shining through those intriguing round windows in the wings, but also illuminating the wings which makes it possible to see the shape of all four wings even though they overlap.
