I'm Assuming This Flower was a Favourite, Pt. 2 - _TNY_6497

(Going to work one evening (I work nights) I saw this four-banded longhorn (Leptura quadrifasciata) which had parked for the night on an ox-eye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) on the lawn. Even though I was running a little late, I just had to quickly get the camera and snap a few shots, including this one. This is two exposures combined into one for increased depth of field using Zerene Stacker

Part 1 (also a two-exposure focusstack) here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/50956998736/

To not be more late than I needed I put the camera in the car instead of returning it inside, so when I got back in the morning I still had the camera with me.

This proved quite fortunate as the beetle was still on the same flower - only now covered in dew drops! A shot of how that turned out can be found here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/50196426277/

This species is between 11 and 20 mm in length, but this one was probably a male as it was closer to the minimum size.)
