Not a Moth - _TNY_8266
Looking at this bug, I suspect most would say it is some sort of moth - but it isn't. It is a caddisfly, belonging to an entirely different order (called Trichoptera).
I haven't got a conclusive ID on this one (as that would mean collecting and killing it) which isn't my thing, but someone very knowledgable in caddisflies says it's a Grammotaulius of some sort, most likely G. nigropunctatus.
The larvae of these are aquatic and kind of cool. The build themselves a portable casing out of gravel and debris and fix it together using silk - a homemade armour!
They are quite sensitiv to water pollution so you can actually use them as bio-indicators of the quality of the water.
