I had the good fortune of finding this excited couple in Åva-Stensjödal in Tyresta National Park, just south of Stockholm, Sweden, today.
It's one of my favourite bugs, the green tiger beetle, (Cicindela campestris).
This is a rather imperfect focus stack, but somehow I managed a shot with the eyes of each one in focus without them moving (and tiger beetles sure like to move it!) so it seemed a shame to not use both even if there is a slight gap in the sharp sections. What do you think?
