Pale Lady - _TNY_7247

It's relatively easy to tell males and females apart when it comes to the brimstone butterfly (Gonepteryx rhamni) - especially compared to many other butterflies.

This one on a thistle in Åva-Stensjödal, is a female - which can be seen by the pale colour with a hint of green in it. Compare her wing colour to that of the two males sharing another thistle in this shot taken the smae day: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/50279867666/
