Tiny Bonus - _TNY_0255
One of the favourite shots I've captured is this one: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51260776665/ - a female hairy Melangyna (Melangyna lasiophthalma) on a pennywort an early spring day when not many other bugs were out and about.
After that hoverfly left the flower however, there was in fact a second visitor on the same couple of flowers - this much much smaller one.
I am not at all sure what species it is, but I'm thinking it is some sort of tiny parasitic wasp.
This was shot at 3:1 magnification and it is still small. I also shot a video of it next to my finger which helps explain the scale here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51965857462/
