What's in a Name, Pt. 2 - _TNY_1404

Sometimes you end up with a less fortunate name. This shield bug is a crucifer shield bug (Eurydema oleracea) but since it amongst other crops like to feed on rapeseed (Brassica napus) it is also known as the rape bug - perhaps not the prettiest of names.

The shield bug however, is quite pretty. They are very variable and come in several colour combinations including mainly black with red accents which I really like. Some specimens even change their colours.
