Dark Jewel - _TNY_5801S2

The family Buprestidae is very large with over 15,500 species around the world. They are mostly known as the jewel beetles, but from what I gather, they are also called metallic wood-boring beetles.

 

This confuses me a bit as I find the exact same name listed as the common name for this particular species.

 

That would result in this being the metallic wood-boring beetle called the metallic wood-boring beetle (Anthaxia quadripunctata). How rational...

 

Also, there is a chance that this isn't that particular species but instead one of the other in the Anthaxia genus. Regardless, this is a two exposure focus stack.
