Ruddy Means Reddish - _TNY_4674

The Hemmesta sjöäng wetland is a pretty small area which I pass ono my way to my mom's summer house on the Värmdö peninsula.

 

I've stopped there a couple of times and it is a lovely spot for dragonfllies and damsels.

 

Here is a male ruddy darder (Sympetrum sanguineum) in that wonderfully red paintjob chilling temporarily on a leaf.
