Gold World, Pt. 3 - _TNY_5709
Sometimes, having a subject on a similarily coloured background just makes for a bland photo - but here I believe it worked out just fine.
This is a marbled rose-chafer (Protaetia marmorata) walking across some moss with much the same colour.
Part 1 is a little further away, showing the entire beetle here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51686093492/
Part 2 has it on its back showing the underside here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51732401880/
P. marmorata is the largest chafer in Sweden and I think it looks decidedly better than the two greener species I also come across from time to time.
