High-Contrast Markings - _TNY_1878

Grasshoppers have several nymph stages, which are easy to tell from the adult specimens by their lack of full wings.

Looking at this one, it is easy to see the small and useless wings which eventually will replaced by full ones once it moults into the final adult form

Nymphs vary quite a bit in appearance, not just comparde to the adults, but also when compared to other nymphs of the same species. This makes me unable to say which species this rather distinctly patterened nymph belongs to - but it was pretty!
