Long Chase - _TNY_4332

While walking across the lawn, I noticed a small white moth fluttering about. Since I had the MP-E65mm on the camera and the camera in my hand I decided to give chase.

The moth flew a couple of meters and landed - but when I closed in it took off again and flew a couple of meters again before landing. Repeat this like six or seven times before it decided that it was no use and that it was probably easier if I got my shot so it finally stayed still.

It turned out to be a new acquaintance for me, a pretty worn apple ermine moth (Yponomeuta malinellus) with nice eyes that shimmered in purple and blue.
