You're in my Heart - _TNY_3954

I didn't see very many beautiful demoiselles (Calopteryx virgo) at Åva-Stensjödal this year - but my son spotting this mating pair, coupled in the shape of a heart, which allowed me to get close and snap some shots make up for it.

 

The male on the left uses the pincer at the end of his abdomen to grab the female by her neck and she then reaches her abdomen forward so they can exchange what needs to be exchanged.
