The Cutest, Pt. 2 - _TNY_5553

Nearly every time the last couple of years when I have come across v-fronted jumper (Aelurillus v-insignitus), the males (like this one) have kept looking sligthly downwards which makes for a less good shot. The females don't appear to do this, but the males which definitely have more striking looks, keep messing with me.

This fellow however, did not do this and both let me herd him a bit with my finger to pose better, but also kept looking into the camera!

The Swedish vernacular name for this species is "vinkelhoppspindel", meaning the angle jumping spider, and here you can clearly see the distinct chevrons on the male's head which is the reason for the name.

Part 1, which is a much closer shot, can be found here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51443977849/
