I Just Saw the Fly - _TNY_2862
So I walked past the patch of snowdrop anemones (Anemone sylvestris) in my mother-in-law's garden and noticed a fly that was behaving very weirdly on one of the flowers.
I was sort of standing up on one end - and whil I was watching it kind of jumped town into the flower and froze there.
This waranted further investigation even if it was just a common house fly so I closed in - to discover that the fly was dead and in the grasp of this female goldenrod crab spider (Misumena vatia female) who had no problem moving the fly around.
