Good or Bad Smell? - _TNY_5491

Out for a short walk around the neighborhood I brought the camera just in case and noticed something on a green plastic trashcan on a driveway.

 

The trashcan smelled quite bad to me - but I suspect this Thanatophilus rugosus carrion beetle was there because it thought quite differently of the smell.
